“Where do I start! A true vacation – no car needed once you get here. I can park my car and take the Gondola to town. Close to the lifts for skiing. The hiking in the summer is incredible. Telluride is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Staying at the Fairmont and being an owner makes it even better. Storage of our ski gear made family trips easier when our kids were little.  And the trades! Fairmont Kea Lani – we got upgraded to a bungalow on the beach! Savoy in London – they took such great care of us and gave us two huge rooms with a sitting room in between. In France, we stayed in a Raffles Hotel – wow! I cannot wait to visit other Fairmont family hotels around the world – but I still love coming back to Telluride – it truly is beautiful here. ”

“The Franz Klammer Lodge for many years has been CONSISTENTLY the best service we have ever experienced at any lodging. They greatly endeavor to help and to make your stay feel flawless, effortless, and comfortable. I am an owner who began with the FKL (Franz Klammer Lodge) when it was built. It has met our needs so well that we have added more fractional ownerships over the years. We highly recommend the FKL to anyone who loves or wants to get to know Telluride. We have invested in many things over the years and this is at the top of the list for return on investment in terms of satisfaction. We are happy we are owners and so are our children and grandchildren!”

“First year as owners and staying at Franz Klammer over Christmas New Year. Fantastic location. Staff excellent. Nothing ever a problem. Curious, efficient, friendly. The new ski valet closer to the slopes is exceptional.”

“Three husbands first experienced the Franz Klammer Lodge in 1996 and as a result three couples became owners. Keeping an already formed friendship together and forming too many memories to mention, our friendships expanded among the FKL owners. Although we are fortunate to still be skiing; we found the other seasons to bring wonderful enjoyment from hiking to the Film Festival. All this in one of the most beautiful parts of Colorado – what more could you ask for!!!”

“My family has been coming to the Klammer for 12 years. In all that time the quality of the facilities and the services has remained outstanding. That, in addition to the amazing beauty and limitless activities in and around Telluride, is what keeps our family coming back year after year.”

“We have been owners at Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge since 2002 and have never regretted our decision to buy. In fact, we love it so much we purchased an additional fractional share in 2012. FKL was still being run by the developer when we originally bought in and having the association with Fairmont has been an added benefit. We have only traded time once (we love coming to Telluride so much!), but when we did trade it was a great experience. We have taken advantage of the President’s Circle benefits many, many times and always get a preferential rate AND usually get a great upgrade.

Telluride is such a special, welcoming place. The skiing is fabulous, as are the golf and hiking the rest of the year. But what really is exceptional is the level of service we as members receive from the staff at FKL. I have never seen a place where the concept of customer service is better understood and executed. We feel so welcomed there that even though it is a ‘fractional ownership’ we absolutely view the FKL as our second home.”

“We still marvel at our good fortune in discovering the Franz Klammer Lodge in Telluride, and owning fractional share! We are only steps away from the free gondola to the town- no car needed. It is also a treat to be picked up (at no extra charge)- at the Montrose Airport. In winter, the ski valet pampers us, handing us our skis, and relieving us of them at the end an exhilarating ski day. Summertime allows us to relax at the pool, to golf or hike- to each his own!

To top it off, the icing on the cake is the membership in the Fairmont President’s Club, with the best benefits of any international hotel loyalty club. On our last stay at the Savoy in London, we had the use of the Marlene Dietrich suite, stocked with DVDs of every film she ever made. Finally, in our travels around the world, we have never encountered a more dedicated, friendly, and helpful staff than at the Franz Klammer Lodge.”

“We’ve been owners at the Franz Klammer for 7 years now and have loved every visit! The staff are incredibly friendly, you can’t beat the beautiful views, and the skiing is perfect. We are from LA, so aren’t used to the freezing weather, but with the option to check in your shoes at the bottom of the mountain, put your ski boots on, and get right on the lift makes the skiing process incredibly easy. Hot chocolate is waiting for you back at the lodge, and there are plenty of delicious food options in the village. There are comfortable campfires, movies and games to rent, and jacuzzis on almost every floor.

The rooms are large and feel like home. The beds are very comfortable and the living room makes for easy lounging and family time by the fire. The master bathrooms have large bath tubs, and the shower pressure is great. We also almost always use the Himmel spa. You can make a massage appointment same day, so if you get sore from skiing, you can come back and make an appointment very easily. They have steam rooms and oxygen therapy if you are interested as well. We come with friends, and everyone enjoys the relaxing stay. Some friends are skiers, some are snowboarders, and some are neither. There’s something for everyone here. Beautiful hiking trails, unique shops in town, ski lessons, spa treatments, you name it. Overall, the Franz Klammer is the best stay in mountain village. You can’t beat the staff’s smiles and willingness to make your stay even better than the last!”

“Franz Klammer lodge is the ultimate experience for the busy person who wants to relax and let someone else do the planning, reservation booking and generally meet your every need- even fix the TV for tech dummies like me. Great staff and beautiful place!”

“This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. We were surprised to find that we loved the summers as much as the winters in Telluride. We have enjoy our ability to go to other Fairmont properties as owners. We love both of the Fairmont properties in San Francisco, California.”

Dr. Ford and family, Amarillo, TX

“My wife and I have been Fairmont owners for about 5 years. We’ve really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff, the programs, facilities and the location can’t be beat. It is great to be so close to skiing, golfing, and the gondola. No matter what the department, the staff bends over backwards to satisfy our needs. We originally bought two 1/20th interests, but due to economics we decided to sell one and keep the other. We’ve worked with Village Real Estate on both the buying and selling transactions. Janice and Jean are great to work with and I would recommend them to anybody buying or selling at the Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge.”

Curt Brown, Colorado Front Range

“Our experience with the Fairmont Reciprocal Use Program has been superb. At the Savoy in London, as we stepped out of the cab, we were greeted by name and our luggage whisked away. Once in our suite at the Savoy, we were treated to complimentary champagne, fresh fruit and cookies. We had two large rooms, one and a half baths and the suite overlooked the Thames! We had a personal butler named Simon who was very helpful, and the concierge procured tickets to ‘sold out’ shows.”

“While we love the Klammer and Telluride. We have especially enjoyed the opportunity to exchange Colorado stays for visits to Angkor Wat, Boston, Istanbul, London, Paris, Phnom Penh, Singapore, and Washington, DC in Raffles and Fairmont hotels. Using the Registry Collection option, we have enjoyed Pender Island, British Columbia and Cashiers, North Carolina. Each of these off-site stays has been unique. Most recently we were at the Raffles in Istanbul where we not only had a very spacious suite but, more importantly, delightful interactions with all of the hotel staff, especially our floor butler, who introduced us to a new culture and cuisine and greatly enhanced our visit to their city. It was like being with the staff family at the Franz Klammer Lodge back in Telluride.”

The Marsh Family, St. Louis, MO

“This is our third year of ownership at the Franz Klammer Heritage Place in Telluride, Colorado. We have been extremely happy with the property and staff. As a Realtor and developer in Michigan, I do not buy real estate outside of my market. After being at the FKL for a day, I was ready to purchase- and did. Once you learn how the week rotations work, it is very easy to schedule and plan summer and winter vacations. As an owner, you also become a member of the Fairmont President’s Club, allowing Gold Level status at all Fairmont Hotels and discounted room rates. I have used this many times. You may also trade into many properties around the world… So exciting! Having a deeded property with such flexibility is wonderful. We currently a 1/10th interest (5 weeks), will be purchasing more. The ability to own in the mountains and have someone else deal with all the issues of ownership is wonderful. There are many options from fixed weeks to flexible. I would speak with one of the Klammer realtors to purchase your unit today.”
