Jean is the Managing Partner for Village Real Estate, and previously worked for the developer (AMMV Investments, LLC) of the Franz Klammer Lodge for 4 years in sales and marketing. She grew up in upstate New York and has a mathematics degree and an MBA in marketing and moved to Telluride in 2000. Jean can’t imagine doing anything else than helping her clients find Telluride real estate that perfectly matches their needs. Jean has been selling real estate in Telluride for 18 years. Janice Gerona is a Partner/Owner in Village Real Estate. She is from New York and in 1980 moved to Colorado to attend University of Colorado at Boulder. Her career arc has spanned from restaurant management to training disabled adults to get jobs in their communities, to fundraising for non-profits, including seed money to build the Rainbow Preschool in Telluride. Janice’s 2 daughters graduated from Wesleyan University and University of Colorado at Boulder. She and her husband owned and managed The Village Table restaurant in the Mountain Village, which recently closed after a decade-long successful run. You’ll occasionally find her there helping out when she wants to eat a great meal. Finding perfect properties for her clients is Janice’s professional passion and she will wade through streams or hike to the furthest reaches in order to help her clients land their piece of paradise.
Emma BrownEmma has been visiting Telluride to ski since 2010 but was convinced to make a permanent move here in June 2013, after experiencing the wonders of a Telluride summer. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Emma has had an extensive career in marketing. She has been real estate broker for the last 17 years. Her work includes project marketing/sales for large developers such as Lend Lease and Australand to her last role in Sydney as a Senior Sales Consultant with LJ Hooker Mosman. LJ Hooker Mosman was crowned #1 real estate sales office in the worldwide LJ Hooker Network of 700+ offices for years 2011, 2012 and 2013. An exceptional communicator and an astute negotiator, Emma brings honesty, integrity and professionalism to every property transaction and has remained successful in her chosen profession throughout many changing markets. Emma has a genuine interest in people, is committed to achieving great results and is incredibly excited to call Telluride home.
She became a real estate broker in 2019 after working in Georgia on market management and representing various brands related to the film industry.
Abby feels that her love of travel and passion for people and extensive time spent in the arts goes well to enhance her relatively new real estate career. She has traveled to fifteen countries and counting and feels that the power of travel lies in its ability to make meaningful connections and create positive new relationships between people- a key ingredient in real estate transactions as well.
Though being new to Telluride, she feels that working with the incredible women on the Village Real Estate team, with their combined fifty-plus years’ experience, will be an incredible career mentoring opportunity for her.
