Ice Skating
When was the last time you put on a pair of ice skates? Ice skating is fun for the whole family and a great activity for all experience levels. If outdoor conditions allow, walk on over to the ice rink in the heart of Mountain Village, located just a minute from our exclusive fractional property— the Fairmont Heritage Place, Franz Klammer Lodge. This activity is free from 1pm – 2pm daily if you bring your own skates. If you need to rent a pair, head over to the Madeline Hotel where they offer both hockey and figure skating rentals.
An indoor ice rink is also open to the public in Telluride at Town Park. The Andy Hanley Ice Rink provides excellent ice conditions, no matter the weather. Skates can be rented through the Nordic Center.
Fly Fishing
Fly fishing is not just for the summertime. In fact, winter fly fishing offers you better opportunities to snag a fish or two since fewer people are on the river. Fly fishing is an excellent way to take a break from the crowds at the ski resort and unwind as you cast into the clear waters of the Gunnison, San Miguel or Uncompahgre river.

Horseback Riding & Sleigh Rides
