We first bought 2 interests in fractional condos through Jean at the Franz Klammer Lodge in 2004. She patiently endured our long discussions and analysis of the property and worked hard to negotiate the right price. A few years later, she then helped us upgrade to the larger size/week allotment to accommodate our growing family and desire to spend more time in Telluride. Then, in about 2012, my husband and Jean started looking at other stand-alone homes and condos and must have considered more than a dozen over 6-7 years. Yet, I was never thrilled with any of them and didn’t want to leave the Klammer unless the new place was equally well-located in the core, user friendly with covered parking and an elevator, had ski-in ski-out access and separate living areas and porches for when the extended family from babies to grandparents piled in. Finally, while I was in town without the family in the summer of 2017, she called with a lead on what she thought could be the perfect house, but said we had to go right then because more buyers were looking at it asap. I walked in and within a minute, I knew it was the one. We got our offer in and closed quickly. Jean worked YEARS for this sale and never lost patience with us. She kept our interests at heart at every turn and for that I am grateful and give her the highest rating and recommendation possible. She is also cheery, honest and kind—and truly wants you to be happy. Well, we are! Jean will always be our realtor, although she did such a great job, I don’t think we’ll move to another vacation home!
 

We've been owners at the Franz Klammer for 7 years now and have loved every visit! The staff are incredibly friendly, you can't beat the beautiful views, and the skiing is perfect. We are from LA, so aren't used to the freezing weather, but with the option to check in your shoes at the bottom of the mountain, put your ski boots on, and get right on the lift makes the skiing process incredibly easy. Hot chocolate is waiting for you back at the lodge, and there are plenty of delicious food options in the village. There are comfortable campfires, movies and games to rent, and jacuzzis on almost every floor.  The rooms are large and feel like home. The beds are very comfortable and the living room makes for easy lounging and family time by the fire. The master bathrooms have large bath tubs, and the shower pressure is great.  We also almost always use their spa. You can make a massage appointment same day, so if you get sore from skiing, you can come back and make an appointment very easily. They have steam rooms and oxygen therapy if you are interested as well.  We come with friends, and everyone enjoys the relaxing stay. Some friends are skiers, some are snowboarders, and some are neither. There's something for everyone here. Beautiful hiking trails, unique shops in town, ski lessons, spa treatments, you name it.  Overall, the Franz Klammer is the best stay in mountain village. You can't beat the staff's smiles and willingness to make your stay even better than the last! - Doreen Gelfand

"our experience with the exchange program has been superb.    At the Savoy, in London, as we stepped out of the cab we were greeted by name and our luggage whisked away.   Our suite with complimentary champagne, fresh fruit and cookies had two large rooms, one and a half baths and overlooked the Thames.    Simon the butler, was very helpful and the concierge procured tickets to "sold out" shows.    Mr and Mrs. Singer

We met Jean more than 10 years ago when she sold us our first share at the Franz Klammer. Since that time, as a testament to her warm, bubbly personality, we consider her a friend, as well as a great help with our travels to Telluride. While chatting about our wishes to visit more often, with a twinkle in her eye, she graciously mentioned the possibility that we might find a great deal if we wished to pursue it. With that said, and her obvious love of Mountain Village, she proceeded to explore some options and presented them to us over several days. Her no-pressure style of communication, coupled with her thorough knowledge of the property, led us to evaluate the choices and make an informed, fair decision. Jean is a pleasure to work with, to know, and we value our relationship with her.
 

I have been an owner for about one year. In that time my family has had a tremendous experience. During the summer, we stayed at the Fairmont in Lake Louise, Banff, and Calgary. As President's Club members, we received upgrades to extremely luxurious suites and Gold Floor privileges. Franz Klammer member services was responsive and helpful, and always available to answer any question we had.  We also recently returned from a week stay at FKL over the holidays. Telluride is our favorite ski resort, and the FKL makes it even more special. The amenities, including proximity to the slopes, ski valet (which keeps hot cocoa on hand), the pool, spa and hot tub all enhanced our vacation. The staff members are all friendly and helpful. We have only good things to say about our experience. We are looking forward to staying at FKL this summer and enjoying the multitude of outdoor activities Telluride has to offer. - Nancy Lard
