Over 19 years we have gotten to know Jean Vatter. Having Jean at the helm of multiple real estate transactions, we are spoiled. Jean has a very approachable and hospitable personality. We've been owners at the Franz Klammer for 7 years now and have loved every visit! The staff are incredibly friendly, you can't beat the beautiful views, and the skiing is perfect. We are from LA, so aren't used to the freezing weather, but with the option to check in your shoes at the bottom of the mountain, put your ski boots on, and get right on the lift makes the skiing process incredibly easy. Hot chocolate is waiting for you back at the lodge, and there are plenty of delicious food options in the village. There are comfortable campfires, movies and games to rent, and jacuzzis on almost every floor.  The rooms are large and feel like home. The beds are very comfortable and the living room makes for easy lounging and family time by the fire. The master bathrooms have large bath tubs, and the shower pressure is great.  We also almost always use their spa. You can make a massage appointment same day, so if you get sore from skiing, you can come back and make an appointment very easily. They have steam rooms and oxygen therapy if you are interested as well.  We come with friends, and everyone enjoys the relaxing stay. Some friends are skiers, some are snowboarders, and some are neither. There's something for everyone here. Beautiful hiking trails, unique shops in town, ski lessons, spa treatments, you name it.  Overall, the Franz Klammer is the best stay in mountain village. You can't beat the staff's smiles and willingness to make your stay even better than the last! - Doreen Gelfand

My husband and his two friends first experienced the Franz Klammer in 1996 and as a result three couples all became owners. Keeping an already formed friendship together and forming too many memories to mention, our friendships expanded among the FKL owners. Although we are fortunate to still be skiing; we found the other seasons to bring wonderful enjoyment from hiking to the Film Festival. This is our third year of ownership at the Franz Klammer Heritage Place in Telluride Colorado. We have been extremely happy with the property and staff. As a Realtor and developer in Michigan I do not buy real estate outside of my market. After being at the FKL for a day I was ready to purchase and did. Once learning how the week rotations work it is very easy to schedule and plan summer and winter vacations. As an owner you also become a member of the Fairmont Presidents Club allowing Gold Level status at all Fairmont Hotels and discounted room rates. I have used this many times. You may also trade into many properties around the world... So exciting. Having a deeded property with such flexibility is wonderful. I can not rave about Abby enough! From the initial meeting about my house wants/needs, to the search for the perfect “home”, the intimidating loan process, and even the communication we continue to have a year after my purchase, Abby never ceases to go above and beyond what you would expect out of a Relator.
