She was available day and night—our seller was in Europe—and she even worked throughout her vacation. She is smart, savvy, and so wonderful to work with. We have been owners at Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge since 2002 and have never regretted our decision to buy. In fact, we love it so much we purchased an additional fractional share in 2012. FKL was still being run by the developer when we originally bought in and having the association with Fairmont has been an added benefit. We have only traded time once (we love coming to Telluride so much!), but when we did trade it was a great experience. We have taken advantage of the ALL Accor Liv Limitless benefits many, many times and always get a preferential rate AND usually get a great upgrade.  Telluride is such a special, welcoming place. The skiing is fabulous, as are the golf and hiking the rest of the year. But what really is exceptional is the level of service we as members receive from the staff at FKL. I have never seen a place where the concept of customer service is better understood and executed. We feel so welcomed there that even though it is a fractional ownership, we absolutely view the FKL as our second home. - The Weslings, Austin TX

I have been an owner for about one year. In that time my family has had a tremendous experience. During the summer, we stayed at the Fairmont in Lake Louise, Banff, and Calgary. As President's Club members, we received upgrades to extremely luxurious suites and Gold Floor privileges. Franz Klammer member services was responsive and helpful, and always available to answer any question we had.  We also recently returned from a week stay at FKL over the holidays. Telluride is our favorite ski resort, and the FKL makes it even more special. The amenities, including proximity to the slopes, ski valet (which keeps hot cocoa on hand), the pool, spa and hot tub all enhanced our vacation. The staff members are all friendly and helpful. We have only good things to say about our experience. We are looking forward to staying at FKL this summer and enjoying the multitude of outdoor activities Telluride has to offer. - Nancy Lard

We've been owners at the Franz Klammer for 7 years now and have loved every visit! The staff are incredibly friendly, you can't beat the beautiful views, and the skiing is perfect. We are from LA, so aren't used to the freezing weather, but with the option to check in your shoes at the bottom of the mountain, put your ski boots on, and get right on the lift makes the skiing process incredibly easy. Hot chocolate is waiting for you back at the lodge, and there are plenty of delicious food options in the village. There are comfortable campfires, movies and games to rent, and jacuzzis on almost every floor.  The rooms are large and feel like home. The beds are very comfortable and the living room makes for easy lounging and family time by the fire. The master bathrooms have large bath tubs, and the shower pressure is great.  We also almost always use their spa. You can make a massage appointment same day, so if you get sore from skiing, you can come back and make an appointment very easily. They have steam rooms and oxygen therapy if you are interested as well.  We come with friends, and everyone enjoys the relaxing stay. Some friends are skiers, some are snowboarders, and some are neither. There's something for everyone here. Beautiful hiking trails, unique shops in town, ski lessons, spa treatments, you name it.  Overall, the Franz Klammer is the best stay in mountain village. You can't beat the staff's smiles and willingness to make your stay even better than the last! - Doreen Gelfand

This is our third year of ownership at the Franz Klammer Heritage Place in Telluride Colorado. We have been extremely happy with the property and staff. As a Realtor and developer in Michigan I do not buy real estate outside of my market. After being at the FKL for a day I was ready to purchase and did. Once learning how the week rotations work it is very easy to schedule and plan summer and winter vacations. As an owner you also become a member of the Fairmont Presidents Club allowing Gold Level status at all Fairmont Hotels and discounted room rates. I have used this many times. You may also trade into many properties around the world... So exciting. Having a deeded property with such flexibility is wonderful. We first bought in the Franz Klammer Lodge in 2005 due to the excellent representation of Janice Gerona.  After a couple of years we decided that we wanted to spend more time in Mountain Village and needed  something that we could use more frequently. Janice was able to sell our 3 BR in a few weeks and we moved on to another property. We eventually realized that we could not spend as much time in Mountain Village as we previously thought, thus we sold our other property. After a couple of years we really missed our trips of hiking and skiing, etc. I gave Janice a call to discuss our new plans which were to utilize the many reciprocal opportunities available through the Franz Klammer. My husband and his two friends first experienced the Franz Klammer in 1996 and as a result three couples all became owners. Keeping an already formed friendship together and forming too many memories to mention, our friendships expanded among the FKL owners. Although we are fortunate to still be skiing; we found the other seasons to bring wonderful enjoyment from hiking to the Film Festival.
